Biography
I received my BA in Art History and BS in Biological Sciences from University of Maryland in 2023 while working under Dr. Heidi Fisher investigating the evolution of sexually selected traits, including paternal behavior in Peromyscus mice and cooperative aggregation of sperm cells. After graduating I worked in the Iffland lab at UMSOM studying how variants in NPRL2 cause malformations of cortical development. In the Parker lab, I worked with Low Intensity Focused Ultrasound (LOFU) to disrupt the development of epileptic networks in rodent models of epilepsy. I plan to attend medical school in the future and continue work in the field of neuroscience. Outside of the lab, I love to read sci-fi novels, tend to my pet beetles, and go backpacking.
